BELLOWS FALLS-The Housing Coalitions of Southeastern Vermont and the Springfield Area invite residents and providers of the region to a co-hosted Housing Resource Fair, to be held Monday, June 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Moose Family Center, 59 Westminster St.
This free event, supported by a grant from the Housing & Homelessness Alliance of Vermont, will be an opportunity for attendees to connect with local and statewide organizations, to learn about housing unit development resources, and to explore funding, programs, services, and other options for tenants, homeowners, and developers.
Resource tables and technical assistance will be provided by 3E Thermal, AHS-DCF-ESD Reach Up, Brattleboro Housing Partnerships, Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO), Early Education Services (EES) & Springfield Area Parent Child Center, Efficiency Vermont, Groundworks Collaborative, Let's Build Homes, Habitat for Humanity, Pluss Enterprises, Senior Solutions, SEVCA, Sharing Housing, Skyberry House of Hospitality, Springfield Supported Housing Program (SSHP), Supportive Services for Veteran Families at UVM (SSVF at UVM), Vermont Department of Housing and Community Development, Vermont Landlords Association, Veterans' Health Administration, VA Homeless Programs, Windham & Windsor Housing Trust, HomeShare VT, Windham County Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Capacity Building Program, and Women's Freedom Center.
In addition, presentations on the Manufactured Home Improvement and Repair (MHIR) Program, Fair Housing (Champlain Valley Office for Economic Opportunity), and Homes for All (housing development) will be provided at timed intervals throughout the two-hour event. The EES Resource Van will also be on-site, providing supplies for families with young children.
The Housing Coalitions of Southeastern Vermont and the Springfield Area are open to all and are focused on housing and homelessness in the region, with priorities to increase and improve housing stock, support housing retention, and advocate for housing resources for the community.
The coalitions serve the Windham and Windsor County towns of Andover, Athens, Baltimore, Brattleboro, Brookline, Cavendish, Chester, Dover, Dummerston, Grafton, Guilford, Halifax, Jamaica, Londonderry, Ludlow, Marlboro, Newfane, Plymouth, Putney, Reading, Rockingham, Somerset, Springfield, Stratton, Townshend, Vernon, Wardsboro, Weathersfield, Weston, West Windsor, Westminster, Whitingham, Wilmington, Windham, and Windsor.
