BRATTLEBORO-The 2026 Music Under the Stars concert series presented by the Brattleboro Music Center (BMC) and Retreat Farm concludes Saturday, Aug. 22, with Celtic Night.
Keith Murphy and Becky Tracy will again host a night of Celtic music. Their special guests this year are Armand Aromin and Ben Gagliardi, a traditional music duo from Rhode Island. Organizers say they are a leading force in their local scene but also beloved in the larger trad music world and are no strangers to Brattleboro, where they have been favorites at the Northern Roots Festival.
With Irish tunes on fiddles, concertina, mandolin, and guitar, plus songs and musical surprises, organizers say, the collaboration of these two duos “will make for a fun and delightful evening.” Admission is free with donations welcome.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. at Retreat Farm, 45 Farmhouse Square, with the concert at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to bring lawn chairs and a picnic dinner. Vernon Creamie and Letty’s Besitos authentic tacqueria will be on site. No outside alcohol is permitted, but beverages are available for purchase on site. Please leave dogs at home unless they are service animals.
Music Under the Stars series sponsors include Guilford Sound, Friends of the Brattleboro Music Center, and the Vermont Jazz Center, the Vermont Arts Council, and other generous donors. For more information, contact the BMC at 802-257-4523 or info@bmcvt.org.
