BRATTLEBORO-The Windham County Humane Society’s (WCHS) first-ever and highly anticipated “Hot Firefighter Pet Calendar” for 2027 is now ready to pre-order.
WCHS teamed up with five local fire departments — Wilmington, Rockingham, Dummerston, Whitingham, and Brattleboro — to create a professional calendar featuring animal heroes posing with shelter dogs and cats. That’s as hot, and adorable, as it sounds.
“I think this is a great idea to help the animals at WCHS and I’m proud our department is involved,” said Wilmington Fire Chief Scott Moore.
“We’re all animal lovers, and we’re happy to help the animals at the Humane Society however we can,” said Dummerston Deputy Fire Chief Leon Dunbar.
“I had high hopes for this calendar, but it’s a thousand times better than I dreamed,” said WCHS Marketing Manager Violet Zarriello. “We wanted to keep it fresh and interesting, so we staged creative scenarios including a dog picnic, a doggy spa day, and a kitten ‘library.’ Each photo is guaranteed to make you smile.”
Calendars are on sale now for $25 each at bit.ly/878-hot. They will arrive at WCHS by Oct. 15, and can either be picked up at the shelter or mailed for a $5 fee per calendar.
