ASHUELOT, N.H.-Write Action will be holding its annual potluck picnic on the grounds of 32M Center for Creative Work in the village of Ashuelot Saturday, Aug. 29.
From noon to 1 p.m., there will be a chance to vote for new Write Action board members and participate in organization discussions. All are welcome to attend.
The picnic will start at 1 p.m., with an open reading starting at approximately 2 p.m. Each reader has 4 minutes — poetry or prose.
Those joining the picnic are asked to bring a dish to share and a piece of writing to share. Participants are asked to bring a couple of chairs and small table if possible, so everyone can be comfortably accommodated.
Those reading from a published book are welcome to bring a few copies; there will be display space for books.
32M Center for Creative Work is located at 32 Ashuelot Main Street (NH Route 119), about a 15-minute drive from downtown Brattleboro. The picnic will take place beside the river, behind a long brick building on the right. There is parking along the south side of Route 119 and in front of Golgonooza Letter Foundry, as well as overflow parking along the river. Questions may be sent to info@writeaction.org.
