BRATTLEBORO-The Windham County Democratic Committee has unanimously passed the following resolution affirming the safety and integrity of Vermont elections. Rep. Mike Mrowicki submitted the resolution to recognize the contributions of election workers and address concerns about election integrity in Vermont:
Windham Democrats affirm the safety and integrity of Vermont elections.Our secretary of state and her staff, our town clerks, and our many election volunteers work hard and take seriously their work to ensure all voters have access to voting [and that] all votes are handled properly and safely, counted, and reported accurately.Any assertions to the contrary, especially from the national head of the Republican party, that suggest anything less and cast aspersions on the integrity of our elections are patently false. They are without any relation to facts and insulting to the aforementioned hard-working Vermonters who implement and oversee Vermont elections.We ask all Vermonters to join us in celebrating our election officials and their hard work and rejecting the falsehoods and alternative realities those falsehoods reside in.Vermont election officials deserve better, and Windham County Democrats affirm their integrity and hard work to make our elections fair, safe and accurate.
We encourage all voters to thank poll workers and town clerks for their efforts during election season.
At a time of baseless accusations about election integrity, expressing that appreciation is one way for Vermonters to demonstrate that democracy remains healthy and supported by its citizens.
