GUILFORD-Being a state representative takes someone with patience, a cool head, and endurance when it comes to parsing details among high tensions. Just try to read through the various bills introduced and enacted over the last couple of years, and I think you'll agree.
Zon Eastes is someone who shows up, actively listens, and has a very approachable demeanor. I've seen him get fired up about the things he cares about, and he effectively keeps the public informed of the goings on of Montpelier. Throughout the year you can catch him at the Broad Brook Community Center and the Vernon Free Library every other Saturday once a month.
Zon's platform remains consistent. He cares about affordable housing, balanced environmental policy, propping up small businesses, and transparency.
I believe that Zon stands for an equitable, unified Vermont - preserving the aspects we love about our state while, as a rule, looking ahead for the sake of future generations in order to make sound decisions in the present.
