TOWNSHEND — In the story of the the death of jazz musician Dave Shapiro [The Commons, March 2], the accompanying photo showed Shapiro, a renowned bassist, playing the bass. The caption on the photo listed the wrong instrument.
A memorial and celebratory jam session for Shapiro will take place at the Vermont Jazz Center in Brattleboro on Sunday, March 20, from 2-6 p.m.
