Successful Aging Awards presented

Five senior citizens from Windham County were honored with Successful Aging Awards at the annual meeting of Senior Solutions on Oct. 28 in Springfield.

The awardees were Carleton Chaffee of Newfane, Janice Duke of West Dummerston, Judy Morton of Dummerston, Barbara Moseley of Vernon, and Cynthia Nau of Brookline.

Successful Aging Awards are presented to seniors in southeastern Vermont based on their contributions to the community and their exemplary personal qualities.

Four seniors from Windsor County were also honored.

The guest speaker was Roger Allbee of Grace Cottage Hospital, who spoke about Vermont healthcare trends and community wellness.
