Open Music Collective concert features 'songs that make you smile'

BRATTLEBORO — On Monday, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m., Open Music Collective will host a concert, “Songs that Make You Smile,” featuring the Vocal Jazz Repertoire Class.

Over the course of the fall semester, five singers have worked with a rhythm section on a selection of songs from the Great American Songbook.

The singers include Anne Thomas, Becky Graber, Patti Smith, Ruth Garbus, and Scott Sizer and will be backed up by Claire Arenius on drums, Kate Parsons on piano, and Jamie MacDonald on bass.

There is a $5 suggested donation and the concert will take place on the third floor of the Cotton Mill in Brattleboro.
