Deadline extended for Charter Review Commission applications
BRATTLEBORO - The Selectboard has extended the due date for applications to the Charter Review Commission. Submissions will now be due at the Town Manager's office by Monday, Nov. 14, at 5 p.m. The board seeks to establish a seven-member Charter Revision Commission before the end of this calendar year.
According to Article 4, Section 5(H) of the town charter: “At least as often as every 15 years, the Selectboard shall appoint from among the voters a charter revision commission to review the language of the charter and the rights, powers, duties, and responsibilities specified therein. The commission may propose amendments and may redraft the charter in whole or in part.”
Voters are encouraged to submit a letter of interest, either in hard copy to 230 Main St., Suite 208, Brattleboro, VT 05301 or by email to jsticklor@brattleboro.org.

Senior lunch served
NEWFANE - A senior lunch will be served at noon on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Newfane Congregational Church.
On the menu is cheese puff, green salad with oranges, meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, and pumpkin and apple bread with pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.
This meal is sponsored by Senior Solutions and served by volunteers from the church and community. The suggested donation for this meal is $3.50 for age 60 and over and $4 for those under age 60. Call Winnie Dolan at 802-365-7870 for more information.
Annual Hunter's Supper served
STRATTON - The annual Hunter's Supper will be served on Saturday, Nov. 12 - the first day of deer hunting season - from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Stratton Town Hall, 9 West Jamaica Road.
Tickets are $12 per meal, and take-out meals are available. On the menu is roast turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, butternut squash, coleslaw, creamed onions, and homemade rolls, with homemade pie and coffee for dessert.
Proceeds from the meal benefit Wardsboro Fire & Rescue.
Library seeks candidate for a trustee position
VERNON - Vernon Free Library is currently recruiting candidates for one open seat on the Board of Trustees for a three-year unexpired term. If you have a passion for the Library and would like to give some of your time each month, send an email or letter of interest to the Board of Trustees.

Area residents, workers invited to provide input on housing needs
LONDONDERRY - The town of Londonderry is conducting a community housing survey to help the town understand critical housing needs and help create solutions to the town's housing challenges. Findings from the community survey will be incorporated into a housing plan for the town that will be completed early in 2023.
Those who live and work in the Londonderry area, including second homeowners and those who would like to live in Londonderry but have had trouble finding housing, are invited to participate in the survey at LondonderryVT.org/housingsurvey. The survey will be open through mid-November and will take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.
