BMC welcomes Musicians from Marlboro-Group III

BRATTLEBORO-The Brattleboro Music Center Chamber Series features "Musicians from Marlboro - Group III," Saturday, April 26, at 7 p.m. at the BMC.

Performing will be Lucy Fitz Gibbon, soprano; Claire Bourg and Leonard Fu, violin; Cara Pogossian, viola; Maria Bitlloch, cello; and Sahun Sam Hong, piano.

The program will include Haydn's String Quartet in D minor, Op. 76, No. 2; Mozart's String Quartet in D major, K. 575; and Helmut Lachenmann's "Got Lost."

In 2023, Marlboro Music welcomed Lachenmann as its Composer in Residence, a rare U.S. visit for this German composer who has shaped contemporary music worldwide. During his time in Vermont, Lachenmann worked closely with the musicians on "Got Lost," a work for soprano and piano that "challenges the physical and mental expectations of the performers," he says.

Tickets are $30 general admission and are available at bmcvt.org, 802-257-4523, and info@bmcvt.org.
