Tiny Theater Acting Ensemble reads ‘Heisenberg: The Uncertainty Principle’ at ByWay Books

BRATTLEBORO-ByWay Books & More, 399 Canal St., welcomes back the Tiny Theater Acting Ensemble for another free, staged reading on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. Tiny Theater will be performing Heisenberg: The Uncertainty Principle, a play by Simon Stephens, an award winning contemporary British playwright.

The play is set in London and tells the story of an unfolding chance encounter and a relationship between a 42-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man.

Heisenberg is “the quintessential Valentine’s Day drama,” said organizers in a new release, “a chance to witness a life-altering moment between two strangers amidst the frantic energy of a London train station.” Through a sharp and comical sparring match, the play explores the unpredictable human connections that can shift the course of our lives forever.

Stephens has authored more than 20 stage plays and has written English versions of foreign plays, radio plays, and adaptations from novels such as The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. That adaptation won the 2015 Tony Award, Best Play; the Olivier award for best new play in 2013, and other international awards.

Tiny Theater is a local acting ensemble for actors learning and performing their craft through reality-based acting techniques derived from the Group Theater and its founding members. It is under the direction of Robert Marcus.

Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call 802-490-8014, contact@bywaybooks.co, or visit bywaybooks.co.
