BRATTLEBORO-Please vote for Randy Blodgett for Selectboard.
Randy brings exactly what we need right now. He has immense energy, an insatiable curiosity, and the focus to get things done. And he’s always ready to offer a lending hand.
With 22 years of business ownership and six years of managing budgets in the publishing industry, he understands long-term financial planning. He’s not just talking about one-year budgets — he wants a five-year plan at minimum so we can see where we’re headed and make smarter decisions.
Randy offers a balanced approach. He wants to protect essential services while being honest about what our town can actually afford. That means asking tough questions about spending, especially when costs grow faster than our income. And it means finishing budgets early enough for real community discussion.
If elected, Randy will work tirelessly to bring our expenditures in line with our resources. He may do so even if he isn’t elected. We’re very lucky to have him here.
Randy is committed to transparency. He’ll talk with anybody about anything. More importantly, he actually listens. His experience on various boards and committees shows he understands teamwork and accountability. I have watched him bring people together to find common ground, which is exactly what our divided community needs.
The challenges facing Brattleboro — town budgets increasing at multiples of the cost of living, crumbling infrastructure, housing costs, public safety, and broken trust in town government — are all connected. Solving them requires clear financial planning, genuine community input, and compassion. Randy has the experience and values to tackle these issues head-on.
We need someone who will listen first, learn the details, and make decisions based on facts rather than politics. Someone who takes this responsibility seriously and will work to earn our trust. That’s Randy.
A vote for Randy Blodgett is a vote for clear-headed, practical, and compassionate leadership.
