• Jeane Anne Martin, 92, of West Brattleboro. Died peacefully May 3, 2026, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family, following a period of declining health. Jeane was born at home in St. Albans, Maine, Jan. 21, 1934, the daughter of George and Lura (Libby) Crocker. She was raised and educated in St. Albans, graduating from Hartland Academy High School in 1953. She went on to attend Sisters Hospital in Waterville and later Augusta General Hospital, earning her certification as a licensed radiologist. Jeane began her career in radiology at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in 1956 and retired from BMH in 1996 following 40 faithful and dedicated years of service. In addition, she served as secretary/treasurer and co-owner of her family’s business, Wayside Fences, for 52 years. Following her retirement at the hospital, Jeane volunteered at BMH for 20 years serving as a front desk clerk and greeter. Steadfast in her walk of faith, she was a longtime member of First Congregational Church and, for many years, was active with the church’s activities that included various fundraisers, sugar on snow suppers, and the annual Christmas Bazaar, where she made the very sought after “Berry Bowls.” Jeane was active with the West B Belle’s, held membership in the West Bee Club, and was a former member of the Green Mountain Squares square dance club in Brattleboro. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, going on bus tours, and time shared with her family. On July 8, 1961, in St. Albans, Maine, she was married to George L. Martin, who survives. Besides her faithful and devoted husband of nearly 65 years, she leaves sons Edward and wife, Carrie, of Putney, and Jeffrey and wife, Deborah, of Brattleboro; a sister, Nellie Tibbetts of Levant, Maine; her grandchildren, Christopher Martin and wife Linda, Adam Martin and wife Liz, Evan Martin and wife Casey, Stephanie Martin, and Lindsay Cotrel and husband Scott; and six great-grandsons. In addition to Jeane’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she also held a close grandmother role to Arjeta Rushiti of Macedonia. Additionally, she leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Jeane was predeceased by two sisters, Muriel Nelson and Thelma Patterson-Smith; and two brothers, Carl and Ivan Crocker. Memorial information: A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m. at First Congregational Church. Friends are invited to attend a calling hour at the church starting at 9 a.m. until the start of the service. A reception with light refreshments will follow the service in the church fireplace room. • Christine Ellen Marsh, 75, of West Dover. Died April 30, 2026, at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center. Born August 5, 1950, she was the daughter of Zack and Crystal Donovan of Worthington, Massachusetts. She graduated from Gateway Regional High School in Huntington, Massachusetts, in 1968. Christine is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Marsh; two sons, Benjamin LaBeau, and Adam LaBeau; grandsons Timothy and Austin LeBeau; her sister, Brenda, and her husband Larry Mason; brother Greggory Donovan and sister-in-law Joan Donovan; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial information: A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

• Beverly “Bev” Power, 79, of Stoddard, New Hampshire. Died peacefully at home April 28, 2026. Born Beverly Jean Arrington on Nov. 13, 1946, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Doris and Paul Arrington of Brattleboro. Bev graduated from Brattleboro Union High School in 1964, with honors. In 1965, she married her lifelong partner, Harry Power. She had been together for 61 years. Beverly will be greatly missed by her husband, Harry, of Stoddard; their three children: daughter Kimberly Reny of Derry, New Hampshire; son Matthew Power and his wife, Yvette, of Magnolia, Texas; daughter Deborah Michaud and her husband, Brian, of Stoddard; and niece Shannon Carey of South Hadley, Massachusetts. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Beverly was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Brenda Arrington; her son-in-law, Michael Reny; and her great-niece, Olivia Hann. Memorial information: A Celebration of Life will be held at the Stoddard Congregational Church on Saturday, May 23, at 1 p.m. A private burial will be conducted at Dow Hill Cemetery in Stoddard at a later date. A funeral Mass for Raymond “Ray” Long will be conducted Thursday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Putney. A reception will follow the burial, to be held at the Putney Fire Station on Route 5. Mr. Long, 97, formerly of Putney, died Dec. 15, 2025, at Thompson House Nursing Home in Brattleboro.
