SPRINGFIELD, VT.-On this Memorial Day of 2026, the Green Mountain Submarine Veterans Chapter of the United States Submarine Veterans, Inc. remembers the following Vermonters who lost their lives while serving in the Submarine Service during war and peace time.

Though we are highlighting our submarine shipmates here who lost their lives while on active duty, we extend to the families of all the Vermont submarine sailors who that have been lost and have served in the Submarine Service: Our sincere gratitude and heartfelt sympathy.
To all the service members' families that have lost loved ones through the years, their service and sacrifice in protecting our country is not forgotten; without them we would not have remained free for 250 years.
