Scott Farm, Putney Foodshelf partner for Crêpe Night July 8

DUMMERSTON-Scott Farm and Putney Foodshelf are partnering for a Crêpe Night Wednesday, July 8.

Crêpe Nights are family friendly gatherings, held regularly at Scott Farm, 707 Kipling Rd., from May through August. They are times “to celebrate the harvest, good simple food, and community in a stunning setting—picnic style,” wrote organizers in a news release.

The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults or $12 for children under 12, and must be purchased in advance. Each ticket comes with a savory supper crêpe (galette), sweet dessert crêpe, and side salad. Drinks are available for purchase.

Music will be provided by Rich Grumbine and Bill Conley who play a variety of genres on guitar, dobro, flute, and voice. Outdoor and indoor tables and chairs are provided as well as a sprawling grassy hillside ripe for picnic blankets, folding lawn chairs, and bare feet.

Crêpe Nights are “a perfect Vermont summer evening and a powerful way to support organizations in our community doing important work,” Scott Farm General Manager Simon Renault said in the news release.

“As the very first organization to co-host a Crêpe Night five years ago, we are excited to be returning and to amplify our work through the medium that matters most to us — delicious food!” said Putney Foodshelf Executive Director Hannah Pick.

Proceeds from the event will support their ongoing work of nourishing community members throughout Putney, Brattleboro, Dummerston, Westminster, and surrounding towns.

Tickets are limited. Additional information and tickets can be purchased online at scottfarmvermont.com/crepe-night.

The final Crêpe Night will take place Aug. 5, with Vermont Independent Media, publishers of The Commons and The Deerfield Valley News, as the co-host and beneficiary of the event.
