BRATTLEBORO-Photographer Siobhan Eddy Young and poet David Kent Young will present their latest collection of seasonal nature photos and writing Saturday, Sept. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at ByWay Books & More, 399 Canal St.
The collection, titled Sunshine and Shadows, reflects on seasonal changes “from summer sunshine to autumn shadows that precede winter and a return to spring,” organizers said in a news release.
The collaborators are a married couple: Siobhan takes pictures of wildlife and seasonal changes near their home in Stratton, and Kent writes poems that respond to her work.
Sunshine and Shadows is the fourth installment in the couple’s book series, Pike Hollow Passions. The other titles in the series are Vision and Verse (2022), Legacy (2023), and Chrysalis (2024).
“The natural landscape evolves with rain, snow, and wind,” the news release said. “The flowers and blooms of spring and summer, the colors of autumn, and the snow-white landscape of winter make Vermont a poet’s paradise.”
Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, call 802-490-8014 or email contact@bywaybooks.co.
