‘Visiting Mr. Green’ to be staged at Evening Star Grange Oct. 16–18

DUMMERSTON-Tiny Theater will present Visiting Mr. Green, an award-winning play by Jeff Baron, this weekend at Evening Star Grange, 1008 East-West Road.

Showings are Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m.

The play, which “brings together two men from profoundly different generations and worlds,” according to a news release, stars Michael Sola as Mr. Green and Randy Lichtenwalner as Ross Gardner. Robert “Bob” Marcus is the director.

In the play, Gardner is sentenced to visit Green weekly for six months as recompense for a reckless driving conviction. The situation “forces them to confront the prejudices, fears, disappointments, and private truths that have shaped their lives,” the release said.

The production represents “the kind of intimate, actor-centered theater that lies at the heart of Tiny Theater’s artistic mission,” organizers added.

Tickets are $10 at the door, with a sliding scale for people with limited funds. For more information, visit bit.ly/tiny-theater.
