BRATTLEBORO-The Brattleboro Winter Farmers Market opens Saturday, Nov. 7, for its 21st season, once again in Croker Hall gymnasium on the Winston Prouty Campus.
The season begins each year on the first Saturday in November, on the heels of the last summer outdoor market. Many summer vendors will participate in the winter market, which runs every Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., November through March.
The Brattleboro Winter Farmers Market welcomes SNAP/EBT shoppers and also processes credit and debit cards. Crop Cash for SNAP customers will match up to $20 each week, with an additional $20 for fresh fruits and veggies.
Customers can still use Crop Cash Plus coupons at the winter market, but no more are being distributed. The market is launching a fundraising campaign to bring back its Boost Your Bread program for this season. Find details about how to contribute at brattleborowinterfarmersmarket.org. All donations are tax deductible.
The market is sponsored by Post Oil Solutions, a local nonprofit working to promote sustainable communities.
