Guilford Permit Guide available on town website

GUILFORD — The Planning Commission says its new Guilford Permit Guide is available at guilfordvt.gov under the “Guilford Info” tab on the home page.

The Guilford Permit Guide provides information regarding permits that are required for building projects, excess vehicle weight on roads, driveway construction, brush burning, remediating lead paint in the home, renting, and more, with links to the relevant state and local authorities.

“It is intended to be a starting point to assist property owners in researching actions they may need to take prior to starting a project so as to avoid possible complications afterward,” the commission said in a news release. “Since this is new, we anticipate that corrections and clarifications may be needed.” Residents can offer feedback by emailing Planning Commission Chair Jeannette Tokarz at jeannettetokarzpc@gmail.com.
