PUTNEY-I have known Michelle Bos-Lun for 25 years. We taught at a Quaker school in New Hampshire before she moved to Vermont, several years before I moved back here.
Michelle has as much integrity as anyone I know. If she says she’ll do something, she’ll do it. She listens thoughtfully to constituents and is truthful if she disagrees. She also works hard on the issues that are most important in southern Vermont, including taxes, housing, mental health, and healthcare generally.
I worked with Michelle for two years in Youth Services, in a mentoring program for high schoolers. She is a gifted teacher and advocate. She has taught many students about state government and has led several initiatives for students to introduce legislation.
Michelle has worked hard on reforming training to improve training for police in working with people who have mental health issues. She has supported the Garvey family, whose son and brother Scott was tragically shot and killed by a state police trooper last year in Putney.
