BELLOWS FALLS-When I review the ballot to prepare to vote, I carefully consider the qualities of the candidate based on a few things I think are important. Are they accessible and responsive to questions and concerns? Do they have a strong moral compass? Is it clear they have done their homework and that they are forming opinions and taking action based on data, research, and people's lived experiences?
With all of this in mind, I am enthusiastically supporting the re-election of Michelle Bos-Lun as our Windham-3 representative to the Vermont House.
I have gotten to know Michelle primarily from her regular "Legislator Update" meetings at the Rockingham Free Public Library, as well as through other formal and informal conversations in and around town. Michelle has also responded to me directly when I have emailed questions and concerns to her and our other state senators and representatives.
When I listen to Michelle speak at these library meetings and elsewhere, I am impressed by her ability to use her mind and her heart to make good decisions. She carefully considers the implications of policies on all of her constituents, rather than merely serving a small segment of Vermonters. And her depth and breadth of knowledge is impressive.
Lastly, I am impressed by Michelle's gravitas. Her presence conveys responsibility, compassion, and strength of character.
I hope you will join me in sending Michelle Bos-Lun back to Montpelier.
